Alan E. Bauman, M.D.
Dr. Alan Bauman is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who has been practicing in Kansas City for more than 25 years. He is originally from Oklahoma (and yes, he is a Sooner fan) and earned his undergraduate degree and medical degree from the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Bauman completed his residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch prior to moving to Kansas City.
Dr. Bauman maintains memberships in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Missouri Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, American Medical Association and the Kansas City Metropolitan Medical Society. He is currently President Elect of the Kansas City Board of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology.
He is married and has two children. He enjoys traveling, wind surfing and reading. His clinical interests include cataract surgery, diabetic eye care and oculoplastics (lid rejuvenation and blepharoplasty).
Dr. Bauman sees patients at our Brookside, State Line and Cass County offices.
Amy E. Ciccio, M.D.
Dr. Amy Ciccio is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from the University of Kansas and went on to earn her Medical Degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City. She completed her internship in internal medicine at the University of Kansas Department of Internal Medicine, and she completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Kansas Department of Ophthalmology. She was also recognized as Chief Resident in 2005.
Dr. Ciccio is board certified and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Missouri State Medical Association.
Dr. Ciccio provides comprehensive services, including routine eye exams, contacts and glasses, cataract consultations, diabetic consultations and more. She currently sees patients at State Line Eye Care Center and Cass County Eye Care Center.
Amy W. Gemperli, M.D.
Dr. Amy Gemperli has been a practicing ophthalmologist in Kansas City since 1997. She has been both in private practice as well as an assistant professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dr. Gemperli was raised in Kansas City. She completed her undergraduate degree at Wellesley College in Boston, Massachusetts and earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. After an internship in internal medicine at Truman Medical Center and St. Luke's Hospital, she completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She then did a fellowship in glaucoma at the University of Illinois in Chicago. She has been board certified since 1998.
Dr. Gemperli is active in many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association and the Missouri Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
She is married with two children, and enjoys spending time with her family and horseback riding in her leisure time.
Dr. Gemperli's clinical interests include glaucoma, cataract surgery and cosmetic procedures.
Ginger E. Cline, O.D.
Dr. Ginger Cline attended Kansas State University for her undergraduate studies and received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston, College of Optometry, where she graduated with honors. She then completed a residency in ocular disease and low vision at the Kansas City Veterans Administration Medical Center. She is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association, Missouri Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Cline joined State Line Eye Care Center in 1995 and loves practicing full-scope optometry, including family eye care, specialty contact lens fits, diabetic and other ocular disease issues. She sees patients ranging in age from 3 to 103 at the State Line and Cass County offices.
Dr. Cline is married and has two wonderful daughters. She is a fitness instructor and enjoys spending time with her family and running. She is also an avid K-State fan.

Selena Fu, M.D.
Dr. Selena Fu is a board certified ophthalmologist who joined our office after a family move to Kansas City. She studied biology at University of California, Irvine and graduated magna cum laude. She earned her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. After completing her internship at UCLA Olive View Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Program, she completed a residency in Ophthalmology at the prestigious Cullen Eye Institute of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Fu completed her fellowship in Orbital reconstructive and Oculoplastics Surgery at the University of Texas, Southwestern in Dallas.
Dr. Fu practices general medical ophthalmology and Oculoplastics surgery. Her clinical interests include reconstructive eyelid surgeries, tearing problems, thyroid eye disease, as well as cosmetic facial rejuvenations, including Botox and filler injections and cosmetic eyelid surgeries. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Fu is married with twin girls and is fluent in Chinese. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, travel and painting.
